Explore the port city Calicut on a sightseeing trip, then move towards Wayanad a lush green hill with gorges, streams, steep mountains, the serpentine Ghat pass, many forests, coffee plantations and Asian elephants. Next head to Kannur where you will visit the colonial era monuments & sea fortress. Private AC transport with English speaking driver will remain on disposal at your service.

Program

Day 1:
Arrive Calicut
Arrival transfer to hotel check in at hotel. (check in/out time 12pm). Later city tour visit Pazhassiraja Museum, Art Gallery & Kappad Beach, a historic beach where Vasco-da-Gama set foot on 27 May 1498AD. Rest time free to relax on the beach.
Overnight at hotel.

Day 2:
Calicut - Wayanad (85kms)
Drive to Wayanad en-route visit Lakkidi the area is famous for the bewitching scenic beauty comprising of the lush green hills, gorges, streams, steep mountains and the serpentine Ghat pass. Pookot Lake a natural freshwater lake nestled among the wooded slopes and evergreen forests offering breath taking views and a serene ambiance. The Panamaram rivulet, which is one of the main tributaries of the Kabini River originates from the lake and falls into the Panamaram valley. Drive to Wayanad check in at hotel.

Day 3:
Wayanad
Full day to explore Wayanad & surrounding. Visit the Edakkal Caves two naturally formed caves located 1200 meters above sea level on Ambukuthi Mala. It takes a 45-minute trek up the Ambukuthi hills to reach the cave. The Kuruva Dweep a cluster of islands with densely populated flora and fauna over the Kabini River in Wayanad. And the Tholpetty Wildlife Sanctuary spans over an area of about 344 square kilometres. It is also home to various threatened species of fauna including the vultures. A jeep safari in the Tholpetty Wildlife Sanctuary will help you spot elephants, panthers, tigers, bonnet macaques, bison, sambar deer, bears, Malabar squirrels and the rare Slender Loris all in their natural habitat.

Day 4:
Wayanad - Kannur (115kms)
Drive to Kannur check in at hotel. Visit Fort St. Angelos (Kannur Fort) constructed in 1505 by Don Francesco de Almeida, the first Portuguese Viceroy in India. Also visit Thalassery Fort situated on a rocky cliff on the Thalassery beach an ancient monument built by the East India Company to symbolize the power and ability of the imperial rulers. Evening drive pass Muzhappilangad Beach & The Payyambalam Beach.

Day 5:
Kannur - Calicut (100kms)
Transfer to either Kannur or Calicut airport to board flight for onward destination.
