Program

Day 1:
Bali - Ubud
Arrival at Denpasar airport (Bali) and transfer to Ubud. Overnight at the hotel in Ubud.

Day 2:
Belimbing and North Bali (Breakfast, Lunch)
After a 2,5 hours drive to the Northern coast of the island, you’ll finally get to the beautiful untouched area of Belimbing. Take a short walk through the panoramic landscapes and the rice paddies. Continue up to the north to visit one of the few Buddhist temples, Vihara Dharma Giri in Pupuan. Continue your way North to the Banjar hot springs, and take a dip in the sulfurous 37 degrees-water coming from the volcano. Lunch in a local beachfront restaurant in Lovina. Later in the afternoon, drive back south to Git Git waterfalls, in the north of Bedugul. Stop on your way to the iconic Pura Ulun Danu Beratan, located on Lake Beratan. Dedicated to Dewi Danu, the water goddess, the temple is an iconic image representing the beauty and spirituality of the island of Gods. Back to the hotel. Overnight in Ubud.

Day 3:
Monkey Forest - Tanah Lot temple (Breakfast)
Departure from the hotel in the early afternoon. Start the day with a visit to the very famous Ubud Sacred Monkey Forest, which features more than 340 cheeky monkeys living there in freedom. Then, continue to the Taman Ayun Royal Temple in Mengwi, a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2012. Built-in 1634, the temple’s name means “Beautiful garden” and is composed of different spaces either with fish ponds, large irrigation canals, and thatched meru roof; the perfect Balinese architecture. Last but not least, head to Tanah Lot, the temple of the Earth and the Sea dedicated to the Sea Goddess and protecting the fishermen and sailors. You may take a glance at one of the most beautiful points of view in Bali from the top of the temple’s rocky formations. Back to the hotel. Overnight in Ubud.

Day 4:
Kintamani and Besakih (Breakfast, Lunch)
Leave the hotel early in the morning and head North to admire one of the two most famous rice paddies of the island: Tegalalang, the most touristic but worth it an attraction in Bali. Take a walk through the green lush paddies and discover the oldest and most efficient irrigation system called “Subak”, declared to UNESCO World Heritage. Then, continue to the area of Kintamani, from where we can get the best views of Mount Batur and its lake. Lunch in a local restaurant overlooking the Batur Valley. Then, head to the biggest and most admired temple by the Balinese, the Besakih Mother temple. Located about 1.000m above sea level in the spectacular Gunung Agung hillsides. Built-in the 11th Century, this is where the biggest and most important religious events have taken place since then; it’s a real spiritual reference to all Balinese worshipers. On the way back home, stop at the ancient Hall of Justice of Kerta Gosa, where walls were painted with the sentences imposed on the convicted. Back to the hotel. Overnight in Ubud.

Day 5:
Ubud (Breakfast)
