Capri, Italy |
You will board a ferry at Naples and head for the Island of Capri, also known as the Pearl of the Mediterranean.
The excursion will start with a bus drive through the fertile Roman countryside and the region of Castelli Romani, dotted with charming mediaeval villages. On arriving at Naples we’ll board a ferry, arriving at Marina Grande harbour in Capri in around 45 minutes.
During your stay on the Island, you will enjoy a tasty Italian lunch in a panoramic restaurant and will have some time for exploring the island, its charming Piazzetta and, mainly, its Blue Grotto sea cave. This unique place takes its name from the sparkling blue reflections of the water inside the cave, so special that, according to the legend, some spirits used to haunt the grotto. You could enter only on a small boat, with local experts, and your experience will be absolutely engaging. On the day of your trip you have the great opportunity to visit the famous Blue Grotto (weather and sea conditions permitting), with its fascinating colored undertone.
In the late afternoon, we’ll come back to Naples, and then to Rome.
Others
Depending on the weather and sea conditions, in case it won't be possible to access to the Blue Grotto due to tidal conditions, you will be taken by boat to the Faraglioni Rocks. If weather conditions do not allow the excursion by boat, you will take a land excursion of the island.
