The northern part of the Rhone valley is reputed for its exceptional wines, several of them being classed amongst the finest in France.
Morning: You will be heading south to the prestigious Côte-Rôtie vineyards. Take a stroll amongst them to learn why this wine is so exceptional. You will immediately be seduced by the magnificent view over the Rhône valley and the steep hillsides of these vineyards. You will delight yourself with additional 5 or 6 different wine varieties. Among them, you will taste Saint-Joseph, Condrieu and Côte-Rôtie AOC. During the tasting, you will appreciate the considerable aromatic richness of these great wines.
Lunch: Free time. Your guide will be happy to show you good local restaurants.
Afternoon: You will be heading south to the legendary vines of Hermitage.
Cultivated on the left banks of the Rhône in a very special terroir, the wines you will discover require high temperatures to produce their particular red fruit and wild flower aromas.
You will start with a breathtaking view overlooking the vines and the Rhône River at the Hermitage hill Belvedere. Your guide will tell you about the story of this mythical wine.
Afterwards, you will push the door of a local winery and taste 5 or 6 different Côtes du Rhône wine varieties. Among them, you will find the excellent AOC wines: Hermitage and Croze-Hermitage.
You will taste the best wine of the region and see beautiful vine landscapes!
