Program details
Taking the scenic Route des Crêtes from Marseille to Cassis, we see the vibrant colours of the French Riviera landscape unfold before us. Stop at Cape Canaille for outstanding views over the bay of Cassis and the Gardiole mountain range before continuing into the ancient fishing port itself.
Soak up the rustic charm of the harbour, where colourful wooden fishing boats line the historic front and where you’ll be wrapped in the splendour of the Côte d'Azur. Hop on a 45 minute boat trip to discover three of the Cassis calanques, where the rugged coastline is characterised by steep coves, tiny harbours and unspoiled beaches.
On our way back we enjoy a panoramic tour of the city of Marseille, including a photo stop at the Notre-Dame de la Garde basilica. Take in the breathtaking views of the city, the Frioul archipelago and the Château d'If and drive along the Corniche Road lined by magnificent 19th century residences. Our last stop is the 11th century Abbey of St Victor guarding the entry to the Old Port, before the tour ends.
