We invite you into a journey to the “City of Seven Spires" or the "Gateway to the North"!
Discover the charm of the hanseatic city of Lübeck with its unique architecture, especially significant to its appointment as the first German UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987.
Admire the skyline of Lübeck, decorated with the 5 main churches, the world-famous Holsten Gate and the brick Merchants' houses, all signifiers of the hundred-year- long history of this Baltic Sea city.
Follow the footsteps of the famous writers Thomas and Heinrich Mann, wander the wonderful little streets, take pictures of the decorated houses and hear interesting stories about the history of the city.
Overall, Lübeck is a great place to visit, check out some history and devour some marzipan because, we forgot to mention but, Lübeck is the birthplace of this sweet treat.
You will learn about: History of the city. Birthplace of marzipan. Why Lübeck became the "Queen of the Hanseatic League" in the 14th century. Brothers Thomas and Heinrich Mann. Interesting stories about the history of the city. Legend of the little devil in front of the St Mary's Church.
