2018 Inter-Korean Summit Tour Highlight On 27.
April 2018, the whole world had its eye on one very small, yet most iconic area on the Korean Peninsula, Demilitarized Zone, also known as DMZ. This zone has been known as the most untouched area in the world as no militaries nor civilians can enter from both South and North Korea since the Korean War was in ceasefire treaty in 1953. However, now you can get close to the DMZ area and have a chance to watch a part of North Korean villages from Southside. As the two Koreas have been moving towards peace and possibly reunified, DMZ may no longer be as iconic or historic as it is now. Join the tour now before it is too late. Tour Details With its mysterious and forceful regime, North Korea has not to be discovered much by global media and tourism. However, there still are 30,000 North Korean defectors who are living in fear, devastation, and a desperate desire to escape. In order to run away from censorship, restraint, and extreme control over people's lives, some risk their lives to come to South Korea in search of freedom.
With this tour, you will be able to meet and talk to North Korean defectors who have successfully settled in South Korea and can provide a more realistic and accurate picture of North Korean life. On the way to and from the DMZ and at each stop within the DMZ, you will hear from the North Korean defector and the tour guide about the reality of North Korea and two perspectives coming from two Koreas regarding the tragic Korean War. Bring insightful questions to ask the defector about North Korean life, the whole journey to come to South Korea, and other factors about Korean history. This DMZ morning tour includes visits to major must-see spots in the DMZ with a fully licensed and long experienced DMZ tour guide and a North Korean defector as a team. Hear enlightening commentary on very real stories of North Korea while exploring highlights such as the Dorasan Station, the Dora Observatory, the Third Infiltration Tunnel, the DMZ Theater, the Unification Bridge, Imjingak Park, and others. Explore the emotional story of two Koreas' separation at Imjinhak Park and the Unification Bridge where you can enjoy the view of the DMZ and read about Korean War history. Move to Dorasan Station to see how two Koreas can be one again in the future, with this station opened and trains running. Visit Dora Observatory to have a glimpse of North Koreans' lives and villages. Walk to the Third Tunnel, which was designed to invade South Korea by tanks in secret and was disclosed by one of the North Korean defectors. At the end of the journey, have some tea and ginseng product tasting at Ginseng centre while asking even more questions to your tour guide and North Korean defector about your tour and things that you were curious about. You will head back to Seoul, near the City Hall, at around 2:00-3:00 PM depending on your selected option and the traffic.
At the end of the tour, we will make a quick shopping stop
