City Tour Fortaleza
Contemplate the city’s full beauty as you wander through the streets of old quarter flanked by well-maintained historical buildings that date back to the 17th century. Stop at the Metropolitan Cathedral and pop inside to admire the mosaics before heading to the vibrant Central Market. Fortaleza boasts a treasure-trove of remarkable attractions, which are included in your itinerary, such as the President Castelo Branco Mausoleum, the Martyr’s Square and the Statue of Iracema. You will also have the chance to pick up a souvenir at the famous crafts fair located on Meireles Beach, take a look at the peaceful raft harbour of Mucuripe and visit the well-loved Praia do Futuro beach.
Cumbuco Beach
Originally the site of an ancient fisherman colony, Cumbuco has a gorgeous landscape dominated by towering sand dunes dotted with swaying coconut trees and sparkling ponds. Sink your toes into the sand, order a cocktail or sample some delicious local cuisine as you relax and soak up the sun.
Beach Park
Venture 22 km east of Fortaleza on the Sol Nascente Route in northern Brazil to reach a modern oasis; a perfect mix of the fun and natural beauty of the beach, with the high tech rides of your favourite water park. The park offers a little something for everyone with speedy water slides and drenching waterfalls, a lazy river to laze along, and two rides for the thrill seekers in the group, rides you won't find anywhere else. For those of you that can only take so many trips down the slides, not to worry, the park compound also hosts a resort hotel, souvenir shops, the Jangada museum, and an area on the beach roasting fresh caught crab.
