The first stop of this breath-taking day will find you visiting the old town of Pontevedra. Explore one of the best preserved historic centres of Galicia. Founded in Roman times and the heart of the region for centuries make this city a must-stop. Visit the ruins of Santo Domingo, Church of La Peregrina, town squares, plazas de La Leña, Verdura y Herrería plus a stroll through some of the most interesting locations in the historic area.
Continue with a visit to the quaint picturesque town of Combarro. The perfect example of popular architecture which highlights the abundance of granaries and stone crosses. Enjoy a boat ride on the river as you visit the mussel rafts and Tambo island, where you will have the opportunity to taste mussels and wine before having some free time to explore the town at your leisure, or stop for lunch.
Later, visit one of the most well-known beaches in Galicia, playa de la Lanzada. Located in O Grove, this blue flag beach boasts 2.5km stretch of fine sands, open water and quality, and you will see for yourself why it draws in the crowds and worthy of being awarded its blue flag year after year.
Complete your day with a visit to the Plaza de Fefiñanes, a beautiful and charming area brimming with traditional architecture, a 17th Century Manor, the arched-bridge and the Church of San Benito.
