Program details
We start our tour in Bellas Artes Palace Plaza. First, we’ll visit the Bellas Artes Palace. This is the maximum house of cultural expression in Mexico, this is considered the most important center of fine arts in all its representations. Its theater is considered the most important lyric theater in the country.
After that, we’ll visit the Postal Palace, this is called the 5th Mail House too. This is one of the most emblematic buildings of the XX century and one of the Porfiriato age (The Porfirio Díaz presidency years).These represented the development of the Mexican nation of those times.
Later, we’ll visit the Mining palace, which is a masterpiece of Neoclassicism in America. This was planned and built from 1797 to 1813 by the Venetian sculptor and architect Tolsá. This building was made to train specialists of mine explotation.
We’ll continue our tour visiting the National Musseum of art, which exhibits the Mexican art produced between 16th century and first half of 20th century.
Finally we’ll have a buffet lunch in El Gallo de Oro Cantina (old traditional bar).
