Description Summary
Join this tour and discover the magnificent Bay of Arcachon, famous for its oyster production and beautiful landscapes! A must see of the area is the Pyla Sand Dune, the highest sand dune in Europe overlooking the majestic Landes Forest and the bay. Continue the tour by discovering a local oyster producer and tasting his delicacies.
Climb the majestic sand dune and enjoy a stunning view on the locally called “Bassin”: an inland sea open to the Atlantic Ocean creating a lagoon of splendid colours.
The Pyla sand dune offers one a gorgeous view over the ocean and the Landes’ Forest from its summit. Do not hesitate to walk back down and put a foot (or more) in the water!
Arcachon Bay is also very famous for its oyster production. Enjoy a tasting session of fresh oysters served with a glass of white wine from a local producer of the “Bassin”.
At the end of the tasting session, drive back to Bordeaux
