Cappadocia, Turkey |
This tour package is a great offer which includes private return airport transfers serving the two Cappadocia airports, Nevsehir and Kayseri; an early morning ride in a hot-air balloon; a private, full day tour with an overview of this spectacular region and an evening’s entertainment of Turkish culture and traditions including folk and belly dancing.
Set off early in the morning for a magical sunrise experience aboard a hot-air balloon and see the rusty orange landscape come to life before your eyes. Once we hit the ground, celebrate landing with a glass of Champagne.
Next, begin the tour on land with a visit to Pigeon Valley (named after the hundreds of pigeon houses which have been carved out of the soft rock surfaces) with a brief presentation about the region before enjoying the panoramic view from the incredible Uchisar Citadel. A local set lunch is enjoyed in a luxury cave restaurant before the afternoon tour which begins at the Goreme Open-air Museum, a Unesco World Heritage Site where you can see several churches built into caves by Christians between the 10th and 13th centuries AD. The area is famous for carpet weaving and good wine so the tour finishes with a visit to a carpet weaving centre to see the collection and a stop at a local winery to appreciate some local wines.
The Turkish Night show is held in a ‘cave’ restaurant and while enjoying a local meal and drinks, there will be live music by a traditional, costumed folk band, folklore dancers enacting local traditions and the highlight of the programme - a belly dancer performs her dance and then invites a man from each table to join her to learn the secrets of belly-dancing with some basic movements.
Suitable for one day or multi-days, the programme can be booked with the local supplier on the arrival transfer.
