Experiencing the magical show put on by the famous Northern Lights is certainly an experience you would like to cross off your bucket list when visiting Iceland over the winter months. Your hunt for this stunning natural phenomenon starts with an evening Reykjavik pick up.



Leave the city lights behind as you travel to the charming Icelandic countryside to hunt for the dancing lights in the comfort of a custom-build 4x4 super jeep and drink in the knowledge from your expert Northern Lights guide as darkness falls. The super jeep offers the flexibility to go off the beaten path when needed to sites the big buses can’t reach, offering you a greater chance to catch the mesmerizing lights in a small group setting. Your expert guide will always choose a location to visit based on the most favourable location to catch the lights each day as a lot of factors can affect their visibility.

During cold winter nights there is simply nothing like a cup of hot chocolate to warm you up as you hunt for the lights. If you are up for it your guide will even have Icelandic Brennivin for those brave enough to try!



If conditions are in our favour and the Northern Lights come out to play, honouring us with their unique and breathtaking presence your guide will make sure to take photos during the tour so you can be sure to get your picture taken with the dancing lights. It is important to note tat the success of the Northern Lights is heavily dependent on weather conditions. The operator reserves the right to cancel departures until 6:15pm on the day of the tour if conditions are not in our favour. If the tour goes ahead and no lights are seen the operator offers clients the chance to join another evening’s departure free of charge upon availability. The second try might be in a minibus. A refund is not available if the tour goes ahead and no lights are seen but customers are offered a second try to see the lights free of charge. Contact the operator to re-book for another evening’s departure.
