General information

Destination
Amsterdam, Netherlands

Program details

Amsterdam is a charming city of canals, leafy squares and old churches just begging to be explored, and your bus ticket will give you plenty of opportunities to do so. Then take a different kind of journey, a journey of discovery into the human body itself at The Happiness Project, a new exhibition at Body Worlds, the weird and wonderful travelling museum of real human bodies.

Grab your ticket and hop aboard the bus for a cruise around Amsterdam, spotting all the sights of this beautiful and historic city. Breeze from the red light district to the old harbour, through the flea market and along the Amstel River. Spot the Skinny Bridge, quaint churches and exciting museums. The bus has a completely transparent roof, and is open top in summer, with a 16 language audio guide to fill you in on the culture and history of Amsterdam.

Then visit The Happiness Project, one in the world-famous series of exhibitions by Body Worlds, showing real, plastinated human bodies. Plastination, invented in 1977 by German anatomist Dr Gunther von Hagens, completely stops the decay and dehydration of human tissue in a revolutionary new way. Anyone with an interest in science, medicine, anatomy or psychology will love The Happiness Project, as it attempts to shed light on that most elusive of human emotions, happiness. And with your hop on-hop off bus tickets you’re guaranteed to find some happiness of your own as you explore the beautiful city of Amsterdam with this great value combo tour.
