Program details

This excursion begins early in the morning towards the Valdés Peninsula Protected Natural Area, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO IN 1999.

After an hour of travel you will arrive at the Carlos Ameghino Interpretation Center, a compendium of the natural wealth of the peninsula. Next, you will head to Estancia San Lorenzo, a traditional Patagonian cattle ranch that is home to the largest Magellanic penguin colony in the world.

You will have time for lunch (not included) with an exquisite grilled lamb, and the opportunity to visit the penguin colony located 7 km from the estancia (not included).

From San Lorenzo we will move to the Punta Norte Reserve to observe, depending on the time of year, South American sea lions, southern elephant seals and eventually orcas. During the excursion you will have great chances to observe terrestrial wildlife, such as guanacos, choiques, foxes, gangs, armadillos and skunks.
