Eklingji is 22 km away located North of Udaipur. Here lies the Lord Shiva Temple where you will see Pillared Hall and its beautiful carving.Built in 734 AD, a complex enclosing 108 temples with a flight of steps leading down to the water tank (Kund). The temples are exquisitely carved out of sandstone and marble and are devoted to Lord Shiva, the family deity of the Mewar rulers.
The sanctum sanctorum has a four faced image of Lord Shiva. From there, head to Nagda, about a 1.5 km drive from Eklingji. It is dedicated to Lord Vishnu with 'Sas-Bahu' suggesting 'Mother-in-law and Daughter-in-law' respectively. The first capital of Bappa Rawal, the ancient place has a magnificent torana or arch which is exquisitely carved. The tenth century Sas Bahu temples dedicated to sas (mother -in-law) and bahu (daughter-in-law) are rated among the best temples in India.
There is a lake surrounded by temples. The Abudji Jain Temple is worth visiting.
