Program details

Located in the Casa del Campo, only 300 metres from the Madrid Amusement Park, the Madrid Zoo Aquarium is considered to be one of the most important in the world, both for the number of species and animals it houses and for its constant research and conservation work.

Since opening in 1972, its comprehensive and fabulous facilities spread out over 20 hectares deserve to be visited individually, making it the only European zoo to gather four options in the same location. It features a complete zoo, with more than 500 species from the five continents and 6,000 specimens including new arrivals as such as cute koalas and white Bengal tigers along with state-of-the-art enclosures such as the new Gorilla Land. The Aquarium specialises in tropical marine life, with more than 2 million litres of seawater and 200 species, including sharks and one of the most splendid collections of coral in Europe.

The dolphinarium is unique in inland Spain and has a capacity for 3,000 guests. Enjoy magnificent displays by the intelligent and friendly dolphins, while the aviary occupies a large space housing exhibitions of free-flying birds of prey and many exotic species. The park has extensive facilities and has everything you need to wind down and recharge your batteries. The young and the not so young are bound to have a great time.
