From the time you walk through the Gladiator Entrance with your expert English-speaking guide to when they leave you inside the Roman Forum, you’ll travel in a small group of 15 through the most epic monuments of Ancient Rome. Modern life will fade away as you set foot in the Arena Floor where so many gladiators battled beneath the towering stands.

On its own, the Colosseum is an engineering marvel but from the perspective of a gladiator, it was a place of honor and glory. You’ll discover what it was like to stand in the center of the awe-inspiring arena with up to 80,000 eager Romans roaring while underground trapdoors sprang open to release other fighters and crazed wild animals. No other tour lets you experience this. After standing in the shoes of the gladiators, you’ll visit the stands to see how the bloodthirsty spectators saw it.

As you make your way around the Colosseum, you’ll understand what a typical day in the Colosseum was like. After 1.5 hours you’ll go with your guide to the nearby Roman Forum. Once inside the Forum, your guide will take you into this busy center that used to be the main political arena of Rome. Explore the temples and palaces and hike to the top to explore the Emperors Palaces and soak up the views over the monuments.

It is mandatory to provide details of all guests participating in this tour, including full names to ensure availability and access to the Colosseum.

Valid passport or photo ID is required. All guests visiting the Colosseum must have identification, including children and infants.

Due to the Colosseum’s reservation policy, the scheduled visiting hours cannot be modified. Be sure to arrive at the meeting point at least 15 minutes before the tour start time. If you are late, you may not be allowed in and refunds will not be allowed.
