A New travel adventure awaits you on an exciting tour to Ormana village and Altinbesik cave, the largest cave in Turkey. Authentic button houses will guide you through the history of more than 100 years, and a boat ride on a subterranean lake will reveal amazing cave formations.
After being picked up from your hotel in the morning, you will be driven away from the resort up to the Taurus Mountains. This tour is conducted in a comfortable air-conditioned minibus and accompanied by a professional local guide. The first stop will find you at Avasun village located 900 metres above sea level; this place is also called the village of bay leaves. Hop back in to your vehicle for an ascension to an altitude of 1200 metres and stop for a picturesque views over the Green Canyon and Green Lake.
On arrival to the second village, Ürünlü, learn about the history of their unique button houses; these old buildings give a special charm and authenticity to the area. Enjoy a 30 minutes tea/coffee break at a traditional house before your real adventure begins at the Altinbesik Cave National Park and its main attraction - the Golden Cradle Cavern; it can be visited from the first level by boat. So get ready for an exciting boat ride on a subterranean lake, the largest one in Turkey - amazing cave formations (stalagmites, stalactites) can be seen.
You will continue on and travel to Ormana village, also famous for its button houses and unspoilt nature – enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant. You can choose cooked chicken or baked fish, (drinks not included) After lunch, you will be taken to Sarihacilar köyü, a village on the Silk Road; a place with more than 800 years history. Visit a traditional village house and a 650 year old Ottoman mosque before heading back to your hotel for arrival in the late afternoon.
