Now you can experience the unique history and beauty of Philadelphia from an authentic London-style double-decker bus, provided by Philadelphia Trolley Works, climb aboard the Double Decker Big Bus and enjoy the history, cultural attractions, dining and shopping along the route. These open-top tours of the city offer the most spectacular views and entertaining live commentaries from fully-trained and friendly guides. See the steps that Rocky climbed, enjoy an authentic cheese steak or Philadelphia Soft Pretzel, celebrate Ben Franklin’s 309th birthday, retrace the steps of our founding fathers, visit America’s first Zoo or Shop along South Street.

PLEASE TOUCH MUSEUM:

One of the lasting museums form the tourist upgrade of Philadelphia that coincided the 1976 Bicentennial celebration, Please Touch Museum filled a gap in the city’s cultural scene. Other museums in the area certainly have sections for children, but Please Touch Museum’s new home not only offers for toddler areas, but also exciting exhibit components for older siblings (for ages 7 and up) including the “Centennial Exploration” exhibit, exploring the history of Memorial Hall and the 1876 Centennial Exhibition.

FRANKLIN FOOTSTEPS WALKING TOUR

Highlights include Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell and Carpenter’s Hall – where the Continental Congress met to discuss its grievances with England. Along the way, you will see Christ Church, where Ben Franklin and our Founding Fathers worshipped, the Betsy Ross House, where the first flag was made, and the Christ Church Burial Ground, the final resting place of Ben Franklin and many historic leaders. Also, you’ll learn about the National Constitution Center – the historic area’s newest attraction which explores the U.S. Constitution, a worldwide symbol of freedom and justice.
