Program details

Afternoon tour of the ancient city of Istanbul known as Sultanahmet, includes visiting Hippodrome Square, which will be followed by the visit to famous Hagia Sophia - a unique structure that during ten centuries was recognized as a church and during five centuries as a mosque and was put on the register of UNESCO World Heritage Site. The last stop on the tour will be at the biggest bazaar of Istanbul called the Grand Bazaar.


St Sophia: Built by Justinian in the 6th century and once the largest church in the world, this impressive building is considered by many as the 8th Wonder of the World and the best example of Byzantine architecture anywhere. (closed on Monday)


Blue Mosque: Absolutely the most famous Ottoman mosque built in the 17th century by Sultan Ahmet and famed for its' 6 minarets and interior decor of beautiful, blue Iznik tiles.


Hippodrome: Where ancient political and sport activities including chariot races took place. Most famous for its' Egyptian Obelisk and Serpentine Column.


Grand Bazaar: The world's biggest covered historical bazaar, known as a shopping paradise with almost 4,500 shops selling jewellery, handmade carpets, leather goods and various souvenirs. (closed on Sunday).
