Spend a couple of days exploring the wild and wonderful surroundings of Quito. Ecuador is a beautiful country, rich in rainforests and wildlife, and this tour takes you to many of its most fascinating hidden surprises. Join us and leave all the hustles and bustles of the big city behind you.
Depart from Quito along the thrilling Avenue of the Volcano. Along the way, admire the outstanding Andean landscape that just seems to be pleading you to photograph it. Enjoy a brief stop at the Cotopaxi National Park, where a colossal active volcano stands proud. Arrive then to Riobamba, where you will settle down for the night in a good old fashioned equatorial hacienda (Spanish for ‘estate’).
Rise and shine the next day and relish on a delicious breakfast before heading off towards the train station located in the nearby Alausi. Once the train has rattled into the station and you have clambered aboard, relax during the journey up the high point of the trip: the world-renowned Devil’s Nose. The train zigs and zags up the face of this abrupt cliff, one of the most spectacular sights in the whole of Ecuador; a thrilling experience you will certainly not be soon to forget. After that, return to Alausi and returning to Quito in the afternoon.
