How about spending a day exploring on a boat rather than on a coach? First stop is picture postcard - Parga. This mainland resort rises out of the sea and is set like an amphitheatre, with small pastel coloured houses covering the slopes that surround the small secluded bay. The small harbour and narrow walkways boast some of the finest restaurant and bars. There are plenty of cafes where chairs spill across the pavement and give visitors the chance to sit back and drink in the atmosphere. Next stop Paxos - this island oozes charm. Tiny with pretty cafes fringe the crescent shaped quayside harbor of Gaios which is backed by a handsome Venetian square. Whitewashed alleys lead off the main square, where great pottery and jewelry shops can be found. If shopping isn’t your thing, then the crystal blue waters on both Parga and Paxos may tempt you; so pack your swim things!
