Program details

See where Lima makes its money and the spends it with this intriguing tour that takes you to the bohemian Barranco district, the financial hub of San Isidro and the colonial-era city centre. You will also have the opportunity to visit a lively Andean market.

Explore trendy Barranco, where art galleries abound in the tree-lined walkways and pubs are scattered around the Central Park. Walk across the Bridge of Sighs; a lovely wooden structure spanning the Bajada de Baños, a stone walkway that runs down to the Pacific through Barranco.

Discover the archaeological site of temple of Pachacamac, built by different civilisations between the years 200 and 1450 AD. This religious compound is made entirely out of clay and houses the giant pyramids of the sun and moon. This comprehensive visit will give you an insight on the culture, history and architecture of both the Inca and pre-Inca people.

Next up is modern Lima, with a visit to San Isidro’s Financial Centre, Golf Club and Olive Grove Park; the city’s oldest natural monument. Stroll around Miraflores, site of Huaca Pucllan, a pre-Inca pyramid-shaped temple that has survived colonisation and the expansion of modern civilisation.

Wander through colonial Lima, a Unesco World Heritage Site, and admire the long, wooden balconies. At the end of the tour you will have a choice to either return to your hotel or shop at the colourful Andean Market where you can get your souvenirs and practice your bargaining skills.
