Discover the eccentric world of modernist architect Antoni Gaudi in this exclusive evening tour of Casa Milà, popularly and affectionately referred to as La Pedrera by the locals, one of Barcelona's most emblematic buildings. This
intimate and sensuous tour, limited to just 30 lucky visitors, is an ideal way to explore the many nooks and crannies of this iconic building.
In the peace and quiet of the evening hours, you will discover the secrets that La Pedrera only reveals after dark. You will learn how the first residents lived in this landmark apartment block a century ago and see how the
building comes to life when the sun has gone down.
The tour focuses on four specific aspects of La Pedrera: the courtyards, the Pedrera Apartment, the Gaudí Space and the roof terrace. Admire the colourful façades of the courtyards with their decorative murals of mostly floral motifs. See how an early 20th century bourgeois family lived at the Apartment and also learn about Barcelona’s tumultuous history during that period. At the Gaudí Space in the attic, browse exhibits about the building and its designer. Wander along the roof terrace and see the various stairwells,
ventilation towers and chimneys that look like helmeted soldiers from a science fiction movie.
After the exclusive tour of the main areas of this jewel of Modernism,
enjoy a glass of cava on the roof terrace as you admire outstanding views over the Barcelona skyline, with the floodlit spires of another Gaudí masterpiece, the Sagrada Familia, prominently silhouetted against the horizon.
Duration: One and a half hours approx.
