Program details
''"Visit the city that was the de facto capital of France for over a century and visit its most stunning attraction. The Versailles with Fountain Display tour introduces visitors to the France of a bygone era. Versailles represents a reminder of the grandeur of classical French art and is steeped in French history.
The lavish decoration and layout of the sprawling metropolis reflect the will of King Louis XIV, known as the ''''Sun King''''. Versailles is also the site of one of the most famous political agreement of the twentieth century, the Treaty of Versailles that ended the First World War, which had raged for five years and devastated much of Europe.
Your guide will provide historical and political insights to the area and enthral clients with tales of the French kings and queens. The pride of the city is its world-renowned Chateau de Versailles, complete with the UNESCO World Heritage designated Gardens of Versailles. Located at the palace, the spectacular fountains have proved a draw since their inauguration by Kind Louis XIV in 1666. The monarch ordered their creation, which required colossal construction work in order to provide the fountains and the ponds with the 1,333 gallons of water necessary for one hour festival of music and dancing water. The breath taking show will captivate audiences of all ages and the informative and enthusiastic guides will ensure that your trip is as educational as it is awe-inspiring.''
