You'll learn all about its origin in the Middle Ages as an Arab fortress before visiting the beautiful quarters of Madrid of the Habsburgs and Madrid of the Bourbons, the elegant Plaza de Oriente and the Prado Museum as well as the boulevards of contemporary Madrid; the commercial and business areas of the modern city.< br />
Do not miss this opportunity to get to know one of Europe’s great cities. Places visited include the Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor and Plaza de la Villa; the ornate Cibeles and Neptuno Fountains and the Puerta de Alcalá; Plaza de Oriente and the Prado Museum. The tour continues along the grandiose Gran Via and Castellana boulevards, the chic district of Salamanca, Plaza de Castilla, Parque del Oeste, the University Campus, Las Ventas Bullring and the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium; home of Real Madrid.
There are also
two walking tour - the first will take us from the Puente del Rey to the Puente de Segovia, with great views of the Royal Palace and its gardens and the second covers the centre of old Madrid, from the Plaza de la Villa to the Plaza Mayor.
