It started out in 1936 as a Parrot Jungle. The original owner had a vision of building a space where an array of exotic birds would be able to fly free and that’s just what came about. Despite the fact that the park has relocated to Watson Island, the tradition still rings true! Birds are where they belong, way up high! Parrots, peacocks, cockatoos and flamingos fly, dip and dive around in this lush jungle. As it stands, you’ll come across more than 300 birds in a whole rainbow of colours! At the wicked Winged Wonders show you cast your eyes on the world’s only trained Cassowary.



Take a trip through the animal kingdom during Dr. Wasabi’s Wild Adventures. He’ll introduce you to a safari’s worth of animals from an alligator snapping turtle to baby hamadryas baboons and an extremely rare set of twin orangutans. Go on to peruse Peru with the Manu Encounter which takes you inside a reproduction of the Peruvian clay cliffs that shelter wild macaws, squirrel monkeys amongst others.



It is certainly a treat to get back to nature every once in a while. Wild Encounter will enchant you with some fascinating felines. Don’t miss this exciting presentation of some of the jungle’s most respected animals. This incredible presentation of big cats is produced by T.I.G.E.R.S., The Institute of Greatly Endangered and Rare Species, an international big cat conservation educational organization. After each show, guests can purchase special, upclose photographs with tiger cubs or primates.



Roam around the park’s leafy, covered trails and explore the seemingly never-ending exhibits. You’ll get to see animals that look as though they’ve stepped straight out of a ‘50s sci-fi flick like the absolute must-see: the Liger! The Liger is the lovechild of a Lion and a Tiger and at 12ft tall we are talking about the largest cat on earth! The colossal cat will literally put your kitty back home to shame!
