Massachusetts’ largest city is also one of the United States’ oldest, and was the scene of many key events in the American Revolution, such as the Boston Massacre, the Battle of Bunker Hill and the Boston Tea Party. She is now is berthed at Pier 1 at one end of Boston’s Freedom Trail and has sailed as recently as August 2012, making her the world’s oldest commissioned naval vessel afloat.
