Program details
The entire Everglades National Park and the 10,000 Islands, is a wonderful place for wildlife, especially manatees, dolphins and birds. With over 300 species of birds throughout the year, it is the only Park that was established for its biological and ecological considerations rather than geological features.
In comfortable captain's style seating and with a cooler for your drinks, you will be safely brought deep into the National Park for an interpretive tour with your naturalist guide. Depending on the season, you can expect to encounter manatees, dolphins, sea turtles, bald eagles, ospreys, herons, egrets, pelicans, rosette spoonbills, as well as, numerous species of fish and shore birds. Not only will you be introduced to the great birding and wildlife in the area by your naturalists guide, you will also learn about the Everglades eco-systems, it rich heritage and long history.
Meeting/pick-up point: 238 Mamie Street, Chokoloskee, FL 34138.
Duration: Two hours.
Start/opening time: At 8.30am, 11am, 1.30pm and 4pm. Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to departure time.
