Starting at Santa Croce Square we embark on a walking tour through the historical core of the city. Passing by all the main sights and landmarks we see all the highlights Florence has to offer and finish with a tasting of quality local produce at the Mercato Centrale.


After meeting with your knowledgeable guide we set off walking past the Badia Fiorentina, an abbey founded in 978, to the exterior of the Bargello palace now converted into an art museum. Behold the majestic sight of the Duomo complex including the Baptistery and Giotto’s Campanile before arriving at the Mercato Centrale, located in the San Lorenzo neighbourhood.


We head to the first floor where a vast array of local goods are on offer; from fresh vegetables, meats, salamis, cheese and fish, everything you see has been freshly and locally prepared. Taste high-quality Italian D.O.P products and savour the taste of Italy in the buzzing ambience of the market.
