Program details
Visit some of the best wineries in Mendoza and taste a selection of robust wines with this half-day tour taking in two wineries in either the Maipu or Lujan de Cuyo wine regions. Both are nestled in the foothills of the Andes and there are dozens of picturesque estates to choose from.
First you meet your host, a friendly wine expert guide who will accompany you throughout the duration of the visit. Head for the central agricultural oasis, a beautiful green extension where all the oenological magic begins. There you will visit two wineries of your own choice, either from Lujan de Cuyo or from Maipu. Lujan de Cuyo offers wineries such as Achaval Ferrer, Tapestry, Alta Vista and many more, whereas in Maipu you can find names like La Rural, Navarro Correas or Tempus Alba among others.
Once en route, discover their elaboration processes as you walk through their facilities, and finally enjoy a selection of tastes of their finest wines. Become an expert on Argentine wines thanks to your guide, who will walk you through the different varietals of the region, the processes carried out for their adequate production and the care, breeding and fractionation of the different types of wine.
You will also receive all the information you wish on the systems of irrigation, on tasting techniques – to make your wine tasting all the more fun and knowledgeable – on the importance of the cork in the bottle and even on the proper use of glasses during a tasting.
