- Discover all of the most famous and stunning buildings of this historical city
- Cross the river Rhine and explore the city of Mainz
We begin our tour of Wiesbaden, the capital of Hessen, which contains an infamous spa with 26 hot springs. As we make our way through the city, you will see beautiful villas, historical buildings, fabulous promenades and an amazing Casino. Ride up the Neroberg Mountain in the oldest water ballast-driven cogand-rack railway in Germany. Finally, visit the famous Russian Church before we cross the mythical river Rhine to Mainz.
While exploring the charming and crooked alleys of Mainz we will pass half-timbered houses, baroque churches and the Gutenberg Museum, dedicated to the father of the printing press. Visit then St Stephan’s, where you will be able to contemplate the stunning blue glass windows of Marc Chagall. To top it all off marvel at the awe inspiring St Martin’s cathedral, which is approximately 1,000 years old.
