Program details
The park Xocomil takes its name from the Tz’utujil and K’aqchikel voice that translates as ‘strong wind blowing over the water’, actually a phenomenon observed every day around 5 p.m. in the Lake Atitlan. Xocomil is not only the biggest water-park of Guatemala, it’s also the most visited and complete. Designed around a Mayan pyramid, this fantastic 77,300 square meters amusement park features a full day of fun for the entire family.
Xocomil also includes seven options of water rides, which will thrill you to the core. From high speed slides in a 148 meters ride. Other attractions include the ""El Caracol"" which takes riders through a dark tunnel that propels them into a big funnel and ""Nido de Serpientes"" which has 7 different courses of twisting flumes.
The park features four different pools, two of them with waves, one for children and one for adults; one flowing river that provides a fun way to get around the park floating on a tube. Along most of the tubes are items such as Mayan masks and items which represent Guatemala’s Mayan heritage.
When you arrive in Retalhuleu (theme parks area), you will have approximately six hours to spend at the theme park. After your day of Xetulul fun, board the transport for the relaxing and stress-free ride back to Guatemala City hotels. We depart at 3:30pm.
Meeting/pick-up point: Pick up at the hotel.
Duration: 14 hours.
Start/opening time: Friday and Saturday at 5.15am.
