In the middle of the last century several pairs of beavers were brought in from Canada in order to develop the fur industry.
The result was not as expected and the beavers only continued to reproduce on a large scale. These characters built their burrows in the middle of the ponds created by themselves. That's how they strongly modified the landscape.
The tour is done during the afternoon, because it is the only time of day where they usually leave their burrows.
