Visiting the equatorial monument is a unique and fascinating experience. Hundreds of years after the indigenous of today’s Ecuador set Catequilla as the middle of the world, a French expedition arrived to confirm geographically the measurement.



At the north of the city below the equinox Andes, the famous monument settles in the equatorial line. This is the middle of the world. What to do (at your own pace)

- Visit the Ethnographic Museum.
