Aventura Marina was founded in 1997 in order to promote eco-tourism , and to preserve the richness of the fauna in our coasts as much as possible, in particular the marine mammals (cetaceans), dolphins and whales.

At Aventura Marina we collect data during the tours to research on the cetacean’s habitat, and on the groups of whales and dolphins that live or travel along the strait.

We organize two types of sightseeing tours:

1) Dolphin and whale watching.
2) , Killer whale watching.

Aboard our catamaran L´Atlántida it will be an unforgettable experience!! This year we changed our boat for a Catamaran provided with underwater vision and yets. These boats do not use propellers. For this reason the animals are not disturbed or harmed. Our Catamaran L'Atlantida is provided with underwatervision in each hull, with glass panels on both sides. Passengers are surrounded by the animals.

Catamaran Atlantida made of fiberglass, 20 meters in length and with a 7-meter beam designed especially for whalewatching. The boat has two toilets, a covered area with large windows, and an open upper deck.

L´Atlantida offers you:

- Close contact to the cetaceans: The boat is provided with underwater vision in each hull, with glass panels on both sides. Passengers can observe whales and dolphins in a face to face encounter and are surrounded by the animals.

- Guaranteed no harm to marine life: The mechanical propulsion is effected by two Water Jet Hamiltons coupled with two Caterpillar engines. These boats do not use propellers. For this reason the animals are not disturbed or harmed.

Meeting/pick-up point: shop/office Aventura Marina.
Duration: Whale/Dolphin Tour: Two hours. Killer Whale Tour: Between three and three-and-a-half hours.
Start/opening time: Whale/Dolphin Tour: (daily from Tarifa; from April to October). Killer Whale Tour (only pre-booked tours from Tarifa, from July to beginning of September). Normally the tour starts at 10:00. The guest has to confirm with the reception one day before.
Languages: English, Spanish, German and French.
Other: Due to changing tides and weather conditions the client must call the supplier the day before to confirm the time.
