Behold the pearl of Western Australia with this spellbinding tour of Perth and Fremantle. See and admire the easy going and outdoor nature of life here as you explore all the main sights and attractions of these twin cities on the banks of the famous Swan River.
Your adventure begins at the beautiful Kings Park botanical gardens with time to experience a walk through the tree's canopies on the Tree Top Walkway giving a bird's-eye view of Perth's city skyline. We continue to one of Perth's best beaches, Cottesloe Beach, before arriving at the historic port town of Fremantle. There you will have time for a walk down the main street, enjoy a coffee at one of the many cafes or perhaps look for a bargain at the markets (Friday, Saturday and Sunday only). Consider also checking out other famous attractions such as the Maritime Museum, Motor Museum (own expense) or the E Shed Markets. We then return to Perth by road travelling past Perth's most exclusive suburbs like the University of Western Australia, Royal Perth Yacht Club, the Old Swan Brewery, Barrack Street Jetty, the famous Bell Tower and finally the Perth Mint, with arrival at approximately 12:30pm.
Perth was originally founded in 1829 and the neighbourhoods on the Swan River were the first to be settled, namely the city's central business district and Fremantle port. Heavy immigration after World War II led to fast population growth especially from Britain, Greece, Italy and the former Yugoslavia making it now the fourth most populous city in Australia.
