Anybody approaching Kiev by air, train or car can immediately spot the Motherland monument that stands proud over the city skyline. With this tour you’ll be taken to two places in Kiev that immerse you into the history of Ukraine during the Second World War: Museum of the Great Patriotic War and Glory Park.
We take you to one of the largest museums in Ukraine in terms of size and importance, where over 300 thousand exhibits tell the story of how Ukraine contributed to the victory over Nazism, as well as other exhibits named Tragedy and Valor of Afghanistan and Wars on Foreign Soil. It was established in commemoration on the 30th anniversary of Ukraine’s liberation from Nazism in the former Klovskly Palace, and up until today has attracted 24 million visitors and counting. Get up close to the imposing Motherland monument made out of stainless steel that stands a total of 102 metres high before the tour takes you to Glory Park; a memorial complex located on the slope of the Dnieper, from where glorious views of the city can be seen. The Glory obelisk takes central stage and as you walk through the park you’ll be absorbed even further into history.
Take the worries out of navigating your way around the city into the hands of your chauffeur and guide. They’ll be on hand to answer any questions you may have and to make the most out of your time in Kiev.
