Come with us and discover the fascinating peninsula of Samana on this full day tour from Punta Cana. Samana is a paradise for nature lovers and adventurers alike. You’ll find lush green mountains, long unspoilt beaches, hardly touched by tourism, idyllic small towns where you can meet the locals and find out all about the traditional way of life and culture.

The fun starts after you are picked from your hotel lobby early in the morning and head off by air to the Samana Peninsula. Once we have landed we head past fields of sugar cane and plantations of tropical fruit and then make a stop a traditional Dominican house where you will have the chance to meet the local people and learn all about the traditional rural way of life that has changed little here over the centuries.

Now we’ll head deep into the rainforest by horse from the Aventuras Ranch, our destination the Limon Waterfalls. You won’t believe your eyes when you arrive; a hidden tropical paradise where the Chico River cascades over 60 metres down into a fresh water pool surrounded by lush vegetation. There will be plenty of time for a refreshing dip here (remember to bring your swimming costume and a towel) before heading to Santa Barbara de Samana to explore its 18th century roots.

Here we’ll stop for a delicious buffet lunch consisting of traditional Dominican specialities before continuing on to another of the day’s highlights: a catamaran cruise to the paradise island of Cayo Levantado, set like a tropical jewel in Samana Bay. Enjoy a refreshing dip in the crystal clear waters, surrounded by teeming schools of multi-coloured tropical fish before flying back to Punta Cana.
