Venture deep into the lush Dominican countryside aboard a sturdy 8WD truck. Experience traditional rural Dominicans culture as you meet a local family and visit a rural school. Enjoy a typical lunch at a ranch and are shown around plantations of tropical fruit and learn how coffee, cacao and snuff are produced.



The fun starts after you are picked from your hotel lobby early in the morning and head off deep into the lush Dominican countryside. This tour takes place in sturdy 8WD trucks which means that we can reach otherwise inaccessible locations. We’ll drive past fields of sugar cane and plantations of tropical fruit and then make a stop at a traditional Dominican house where you will have the chance to meet the local people and learn all about the traditional way of life that has changed little here over the centuries. Taste home grown coffee and cacao and the famous Mama Juana, a local aphrodisiac said to have amazing qualities and a country “cure-all” that the Dominican people swear by. See a typical country school and learn about the local education system.



Enjoy a traditional meal Dominican style and then try your moves to some hot Latin merengue groove. There will also be plenty of time for a refreshing dip at a nearby waterfall with a clear natural pool, fringed by lush tropical vegetation (remember to bring your swimming costume and a towel). A day to remember where you get to see the real Dominican republic, far from the crowded resorts.
