Begin your tour at the Gatun Locks that have been working in the same way ever since the canal’s opening a century ago. Your guide will explain how the locks work and their importance to the overall functioning of the canal before leading you to the new Canal Visitors Centre. Located in a strategic hillside location, it provides the perfect viewpoint to take in the current construction work on the new set of locks on the Atlantic side of the canal.



Learn exactly how the complicated system of locks work in harmony to raise and lower each boat to the required level as you appreciate the immense complexity of the Panama Canal. After the tour you will be transferred back to your hotel in Panama City.
