Program details
Explore the mysteries and timeless beauty of southern Louisiana on this exciting trip over land and water. This is a chance to drive alongside the Mississippi River, hop onto a swamp boat and mix and mingle with the natives, all in one comprehensive tour of the Louisiana swamps and bayous.
Your tour begins the moment you climb onto the motor coach and you then set off for a brief but pleasant ride across the Mississippi River. Contemplate the breathtaking landscapes as they glide by your window and feel how all your daily worries fall back behind you.
Once you arrive at your destination, prepare to embark on a fascinating boat trip along Louisiana’s lively swamps. Aboard the all-weather swamp boat you have a privileged view of the nesting grounds of various critters from alligators and egrets to raccoons and nutria, as well as many species of snakes.
Native guides will tell you all about the strenuous efforts that have been carried out in order to preserve and restore Louisiana’s vanishing wetlands. This same tour you has been featured on The Discovery Channel, The Travel Channel, CBS, NBC and ABC. So don’t forget to bring your camera; these lands have the two ideal ingredients to bring filming crews over: a very interesting history and awe-inspiring backdrops that make wonderful pictures. Snap a pic of yourself in these fantastic entourages to preserve the memory forever.
