With all the modern comforts on board, step off dry land and explore the hidden depths of an island that is European by birth, but tropical in spirit and nature. High, jagged cliffs line the south coast making for a catamaran cruise with dramatic vistas.



As Funchal slowly becomes a distant sight on the horizon behind us, we set sail towards Cabo Girão. The mighty cliffs of the famous Reid’s Hotel, Lido area and Praia Formosa pass by us before we reach the quaint fishing village of Camara de Lobos.


During summer and weather permitting, we stop for a refreshing dip in the ocean before sailing back. On our return, be sure to stay on deck and spot the dolphins and turtles that may accompany us for the journey.



Departure times: Mornings at 10:30am with return at 1:30pm and afternoons at 3pm, returning at 6pm. Transport to and from the harbour is not included. Boarding takes place at the marina in Funchal, 30 minutes before sailing.

Other: Bring bathing suit, sun cream, hat, sunglasses, cardigan/sweater and a camera. Trips may be changed or cancelled, due to bad weather conditions.
