Pierce the sky as you ascend to the top of The Space Needle, one of the most breath-taking experiences the city of Seattle has to offer. With the appearance of a UFO impaled on the top of a futuristic monolith, when one stands atop the staggering 158 meters of The Space Needle, the metropolitan skyline of Seattle seems to flatten against the ground below you, looking like a carpet would to a giant.


From the top of The Space Needle, every last bit of the surrounding perimeter is guaranteed to fill you with wonder. From the majestic outlines of the Cascades sitting regally against the city’s misty horizon, to the jagged peaks of Mount Rainier reaching with their snowy peaks to the sky like a frozen cardiogram.


Even if you close your eyes the rest of your senses will allow you to perceive and admire the magic of Seattle, as with the hooting of track ferries and boats as they cruise through Elliot Bay; the rattle of trains and buses; the roar of bikers tearing down the roads; or simply the distant buzz of many people walking, talking and driving around Downtown Seattle.


Like a real spaceship, The Space Needle’s Observation Deck is full of interactive computers, telescopes and an analogue information wall, all waiting for you to tinker with free of charge. What’s more, you will even get a complimentary photo snapped as you rise in the elevator towards the celestial dome.
