See the best that the atmospheric and historic city of Malaga has to offer with a round-trip tour aboard an open-top double-decker bus. There’s an array of fascinating sights and attractions, including the birthplace of Picasso and castles with stunning views of the city and the bay. This practical hop on-hop off ticket allows you to leave the bus at the more than 15 stops to visit any of the nearby monuments or hidden corners by foot. The remainder of the route can easily be continued with any of the following buses, which run about every 30 minutes.
A multilingual audio system will give you some important information and fascinating insights about the attractions and the city itself.
Highlights of this tour include the Alcazaba fortress, a stunning example of Moorish architecture complete with landscaped gardens, the adjacent Castle of Gibralfaro, which winds along a hill overlooking the port and the remains of the Roman Theatre at the foot of the mountain.
The tour also takes in the imposing baroque cathedral, which remains unfinished because funds for its construction were donated to the American colonies during the US War of Independence and, of course, Malaga’s bullring, one of the most photographed in the world. Other sites include the Picasso museum and the English cemetery, a poignant reminder of the city’s longstanding links to Britain.
You will see a lot in a short space of time. Overall duration of the tour aboard the bus is about 75 minutes.
