Oozing historical heritage, Curitiba was founded back in the 17th century. This attractive and verdant Brazilian city is the capital of the Brazilian state of Parana and one of the largest cities in the country. On this short tour you will enjoy the most interesting of Curitiba’s tourist spots. Photography enthusiasts will be thrilled by our tour of the Oscar Niemeyer museum and all who visit will be blown away by its external design. This must-see photography museum was designed by the renowned Brazilian designer Oscar Niemeyer, consideredto be one of the world’s leading architects. This remarkable ‘eye-shaped’ structure, also known as the ‘Museum of the Eye’ was completed in 2002 when the architect was still alive at 95! It displays a wonderful collection of work by Brazilian artists.

As the tour continues, you will take a moonlit stroll through the pretty Botanical Gardens, perfect respite to the hustle and bustle of the city. These handsome gardens have been cleverly cultivated to resemble French royal gardens. They sit in the shade of the garden’s star attraction, an exquisitely carved glass and metal art nouveau green house structure that was inspired by London’s Crystal Palace. You will also visit one of the city’s most unusual constructions, the Wire Opera House (known as the Opera de Arame in Portuguese). This striking building made from steel tubing is located at the heart of one of Curitiba’s many green parks overlooking a lovely manmade lake. Last but not least, you’ll see the Tangua Park, one of Curitiba’s most famous parks.
