This route starts at the Public Pinar de la Barrosa walking through the bike lane 1.5 km. until the start of the boardwalk area. That said I walk path, is an ancient watchtower on a cliff, called Torre Bermeja sixteenth century. A. We will continue down the road that runs attached to the pine forests of Barrosa where is a Magic Point, from which you can see the Castle of Sancti Petri, the seventeenth century, which was part of the line of fortifications that protected the coast
Route 1: Playa La Barrosa and Town of Sancti Petri
This route starts at the Public Pinar de la Barrosa walking through the bike lane 1.5 km. until the start of the boardwalk area. That said I walk path, is an ancient watchtower on a cliff, called Torre Bermeja sixteenth century. A. We will continue down the road that runs attached to the pine forests of Barrosa where is a Magic Point, from which you can see the Castle of Sancti Petri, the seventeenth century, which was part of the line of fortifications that protected the coast. The route ends at the ancient trap net settlement. The port of Sancti Petri offers many opportunities to taste fresh fish and typical Andalusian tapas or simply relax with a drink of the road enjoying spectacular views.
Route 2: Novo Sancti Petri and Torre del Puerco
It is accessed from Route Novo Sancti Petri urbanization taking the bike lane coastal road linking La Barrosa Conil and down next to Hotel Riu to Torre del Puerco, an ancient watchtower sixteenth century.
It starts rolling down the Novo Sancti Petri urbanization taking the bike lane. We will go down to see a beautiful landscape, next to an old barracks famous Torre del Puerco. From here, there is a paved path that runs on a cliff of fossil dunes. During the tour you can see the different dune formations and indigenous vegetation is stabilized thereon, (remains of Mediterranean forest, pine forests and coastal dune vegetation) and even some species listed in the Red Book of endangered wild flora of Andalusia, such as junipers and camarinas sapinas.
Meeting/pick-up point: Ruta Playa La Barrosa and Poblado de Sancti Petri: Entrance to Pinar Público la Barrosa (Chiclana de la Fra.) / Ruta Novo Sancti Petri and Torre del Puerco: Entrance del Centro Comercial Novo Sancti Petri (Chiclana de la Fra.).
Duration: Route 1 - Playa La Barrosa and Town of Sancti Petri: 90 minutes. Route 2 - Novo Sancti Petri and Torre del Puerco: 60 minutes.
Start/opening time: At 10.30am and 5pm. Route 1 departs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Route 2 departs on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
