Visit the Malaga Automobile Museum and learn about the art of driving. You will see some of the classic and vintage cars that helped revolutionise the world and came to define their eras.

The collection of more than 90 fully functioning vehicles is housed in a refurbished former tobacco factory that itself evokes bygone times.

The cars are categorised by different eras, ranging from those built before pre-World War I to the Fifties, when designs became more modern. You will see examples of contemporary marques and others that have long ceased to make cars.

Be impressed by the elegance of the defunct Hispano-Suiza, a luxury brand comparable to Rolls-Royce. You will also see cars made by Auburn, Bugatti, Delage, Ferrari, Lancia, Mercedes, Minerva, Packard, Panhard and many more, including a special section with British cars such as the Rolls-Royce Phantom VI, the Jaguar MK IV and the Bentley MK VI.

Rather than viewing cars as mere modes of transport, you will come to appreciate them as works of art, examples of the highest calibre of engineering and design. You will see cars that are avant garde, exotic, eccentric, extravagant and futuristic.

There is also a nod to links between cars and fashion, with homage paid to figures whose beauty and glamour has adorned vehicles over the decades. An exhibition celebrating haute couture headwear from the Twenties to the Sixties features the work of houses such as Chanel, Dior, Balmain and Oleg Cassini, a legendary milliner who also successfully tied his hand at car design.

Start or opening time: 10am.
End or closing time: 7pm.
