Climb through the caves and hike your way around the valley on this adventurous yet close to nature tour!Highlights- Discover the underground city of Kaymakli
- Stop off and take a breather beside Lake Nar
- Feast on a BBQ in the impressive Ihlara Canyon
First things first, find out what’s in store for the day as your tour guide breaks it down before you set off. Get the chance to strip Turkey back to its roots and see it in its natural state, away from the tourist teemed beaches; you’ll be spoilt with not only views but things to do on this ever-so-rocky terrain.
As you can imagine, all of this gallivanting about is thirsty work so we’ll have a little break beside the lake and muster up some energy before we crack on to snap some pics of Ihlara Canyon. Next, you get to trek around a very special kind of cave that serves another purpose as it is in face home to a chapel as well. After you have had your fill of culture, we get down to it at the canyon when we set out on a 3km hike in the canyon which is sure to get your pulse racing. After you’ve worked up an appetite, you’ll be able to munch away on the BBQ which is served right there in the canyon itself.
Once you are full up, you are ready to roll on to the next exciting spot which is Selime Mountain Cave Complex where you can take some impressive pics. Then, make your way along to Caravan Serai on the Silk Road which has been used as an overnight stop-off for many moons. Round things off by meandering around a Handcrafts & Jewellery Centre and learning more about how the precious pieces are put together.
